Things to Discover in Rizal

Tau't Bato Tribe

The Tau’t Batu or Tao’t Bato or Taaw’t Bato (translate’s to “people of the rock” in English) are indigenous people located in some high lying areas on Mt. Mantalingajan.

As of right now, most of them are still using the ancient mode of living, like hunting and farming.

Green Lagoon

Relax and dip into the cold water and refresh your mind, in the river.

It is located in Barangay Culasian.

The river from the mountain downstreams are used by locals for everyday use. As of now, there is a mini-hydro structure in the Culasian River.

 There are 8 waterfalls in rizal.

This event features street dancing, float parade, and many other fun activities. It also showcases the culture of the indigenous Tau’t Bato people.

How to get to Rizal

Cherry Bus

You can take the Cherry bus for

4 – 5 hours, Depending on traffic.

The cost is approximately

450p – 500p.

San Jose Bus Terminal can be reached by tricycle. Distance from the airport to the terminal is 6 km. Cost about 50 — 150 pesos for one-two persons.

It is 295 km from Puerto Princesa to Rizal.

Cars, Vans, Suv's & Pickups

You can rent a Car, Van, Suv & Pickups from local shops if you wish to explore a little bit more and feel adventurous.

From Puerto Princesa it is 295 km to Rizal.

It will take about 3 1/2 hours.

Getting Around Town

Scooters & Motorcycles

It’s a pretty small town and most things to do in Coron can be reached by foot.

You can hire some scooters or motorcycles from local shops if you wish to explore a little bit more and feel adventurous.

It’s a pretty small town and most things to do in Coron can be reached by foot.

You can also hire a Trike, they are pretty inexpensive , just make sure you are in agreement with the driver so there is no misunderstanding.
