Coron Island Hopping
You can Hire a Private Chartered Boat if you wish.
As a solo traveler it’s cheaper to join a group tour, however if you’re travelling with a group of friends getting a private boat can work out cheaper and more fun!
A chartered group tour these fees are usually included in the tour fee.
Twin Lagoons
It is called Twin Lagoons as there are two lakes which are separated with a rugged piece of limestone rock.
A cave connects these 2 rocky, jewel-toned lagoons, hot spots for swimming, snorkeling & photos.
The Twin Lagoons are one of the must-see destinations in the Coron Island Hopping Tour. The first lagoon is where the boats dock, while the second lagoon is hidden, the only access of which is a small crevice underneath the rock, or during high tide, a ladder over the rock.
Banana Island Beach
The beach and water are free from rocks and coral About 1 1/2 hour from Coron’s harbor,Entrance Fee 200p.
More officially known as Dicalabuan Island,the name Banana catching on later because of the island’s shape.
Concepcion Falls
The ride to Concepcion falls is about 1 hour by motorbike from city proper.
The falls are beautiful but smaller than expected.It’s bit of a trek to get there but it’s worth it.
A nice dip in the cool water is a welcome reward for making the trip.
The best time to visit the spot is from June to December, as the rains bring plenty of water into the falls.
Scuba Diving
The most famous water sports in Coron is wreck diving. Visitors from all over the World flock to this offbeat coastal town for this reason.
The shipwrecks of Coron Bay are a series of impressive wreck sites for diving and snorkeling in Palawan. There are 12 sunken wartime ships at the bottom of the ocean – the result of an attack on the Imperial Japanese Navy by US Navy aircraft during the Second World War in September 1944.
Kayangan Lake
Kayangan Lake is a crystal-clear freshwater lake in Coron, featuring underwater rock formations, caves and islets. It’s a popular spot for photographers and Instagramers.
Kayangan Lake, dubbed the ‘cleanest lake in the Philippines’, is surrounded by a karst scenery of limestone cliffs and guarded maintained by Tagbanua tribesmen. Kayangan Lake is 70% freshwater and 30% salt water. One may choose to swim or snorkel in the lake, or simply float around in a life jacket.
Ocam Ocam Beach
A lonely beach with golden sand, excellent snorkeling and just a couple of basic resorts in northwest Busuanga Island.
You can get a boat here to fantastic Black Island (Malajon Island) for P1500 round-trip. Turn off the National Hwy 500m west of barangay New Busuanga, from where it’s 5km to the beach on an unpaved road.
Not to be missed well worth your time and it is also close to Calauit Safari Park. Its about 1 1/2 hrs from Coron Town proper.

Black Island, known to locals as Malajon Island, is a huge, mysterious looking island near Busuanga.
From a distance, it has an eerie feeling despite its beautiful white beaches and coconut trees.

Mount Tapyas
At 210 meters, Mt. Tapyas is the second tallest mountain and one of the most dominant land features around the town of Coron in Busuanga Island, Palawan.

Flights
Air Juan operates a direct flight from Puerto Princesa to Coron. The flight takes less than one hour, and the airplane directly lands to the Busuanga Airport which is 16.6 kilometres away from Coron downtown.

From Manila, Cebu, and Boracay
-Flight: Air Juan, Skyjet, Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines operate direct flights to Coron via Manila, Boracay, and Cebu.
2GO Ferry operates twice a week sailing from Puerto Princesa to Coron and vice versa.
From El Nido
Fast Ferry: There are a couple of Fast ferry companies that operate daily sailing from El Nido to Coron and back. The crossing takes approximately 4 hrs.

Phimal Fast Ferry, Inc.
Fast Ferry: operates daily sailing from El Nido to Coron and back. The crossing takes approximately 5 hrs.
The ferry boat will depart from El Nido at 8:20 AM while the ferry from Coron will depart at 1.20pm daily.
The boarding time at El Nido is at 7:20 am and the boarding time at Coron is at 12:20 pm
Phimal Fast Ferry is a fast craft ferry company offering trips between El Nido and Coron Island. Their vessels can only transport passengers and not vechiles.

Getting Around Town
It’s a pretty small town and most things to do in Coron can be reached by foot.
You can hire some scooters or motorcycles from local shops if you wish to explore a little bit more and feel adventurous.
